England men’s national rugby union squad chartered four fifths of our speedboat fleet (all four RIBs were on the excursion) for a direct transfer from Chelsea Harbor to North Greenwich Pier for ‘Wear the Rose Live’. The event marks the final send-off for England’s national rugby team ahead of the Rugby World Cup taking place in France from September 2023. The 33-strong team (+ crew!) were hence boarded onto our supersonic RIBs and taken down river at speed and style to reach the event in as fast possible.
There really isn’t a faster or more convenient way to travel from West to South East London! With some tunes, twist and turns along the way the whole team had an amazing time and we are proud to have provided some quick recreation to break up the intense training routine that the team is enduring prior to their world cup campaign.
The event itself at the O2 Arena was full to the brim with the country’s most devoted rugby fans and the players were giving talks along with a Q&A session with player meet and greets. A lucky fan even took home a pass to all games the team plays for the next 2 years!
We wish the best of luck to the squad who are going to be bringing the Webb Ellis Cup back with them like its 2003!
