Canary Wharf is part of London’s historical Docklands. Situated on the eastern edge of the city, it is the new financial capital of London. The Emirates Airline is a cable car across the River Thames that lets you explore London’s famous sights from a height. The crossing takes ten minutes and helps you see London from a new perspective. The service comprises a 1-kilometre gondola line that crosses the Thames from the Greenwich Peninsula to the Royal Victorian Dock, to the west of ExCeL London.

Thames Barrier

The Thames Barrier is a unique flood control structure on the River Thames at Woolwich Reach in East London. The structure protects the city of London against storm surges and excessive rainfall. The barrier is currently protecting 48 square miles of London, including an estimated 1.25 million people. The Thames Barrier is the second largest flood defence barrier in the world.
