M Huncho and Slim collaboration ‘Any minute’

Behind the scenes on our film shoot

Following the long awaited official release of the M Huncho and Slim collaboration ‘Any Minute’, Thames RIB Experience are proud to share the story of our participation and some footage over our social media channels of the film job. There was a beautiful fading dusk light on that evening and careful planning was required at all stages to guarantee not only the timing of the shoot but also to ensure that the desired shots could be achieved.

The aesthetics of the final product are complimented hugely by the dusk light perfectly, however a very slim time window exists for shooting high speed footage at dusk. After dark, high-speed operation of small craft can only take place within the hour following sunset, no later. That meant there was little margin for error and hence we required our most senior skippers experienced in previous film shoots such as Spectre. A ‘hero’ boat and a second ‘tracking’ boat were required, coordinating over VHF radio to get the perfect shots. With the lights of the City, Tower Bridge and the Docklands illuminating the sky as the light faded, the filming of the music video began, with all shots being achieved smoothly, returning back to berth as scheduled with a very happy film crew. It was a pleasure meeting the artists and all of the film crew. Well done to all involved and look forward to working with the team again!
